I innitially sought treatment from Dr. Richardson for chronic neck pain that was the result of a whiplash injury in a car accident. I had been cautioned by my western
medicine physician that chiropractic medicine was not recommended because of bone spurs, but that acupuncture might provide relief. Dr. Richardson used bodywork in
conjunction with acupuncture to relieve pain and increase range of motion. I have since received treatment for a number of ailments including: sciatica, bursitis
(heel), osteoarthritis (knee), carpal tunnel, and tendonitis (elbow). I believe that Dr. Richardson's use of acupuncture with body work is very successful in
addressing chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
I went to Dr. Richiadson because of severe pain related to endometriosis. Anne treated me using a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs specifically formulated
for my symptoms. She paid careful attention to what I was experiencing each time I went in and adjusted her work to address what was going on for me at the time. In
addition to the acupuncture and herbs, Anne supported the dietary changes that I made on my own. It was a slow process, but my pain was reduced steadily and after about
a year of treatments, I was pain free. I continued to see Anne for a number of years, on a less frequent basis, in order to make sure my symptoms didn't come back. During
that time, I not only remained free of endometriosis symptoms, but Anne also skillfully and successfully treated a variety of other minor ailments that came up for me,
including some joint pain in my hips and knees.
